here's my old fridge post katrina.

i only puked three times getting it out of the house.

thanks little brother. you went above and beyond the call of duty that day.

fast forward to tonight.

we got one of them fronts coming thru town with the north and the south fronts clashing .

lots of thunder lighting and rain and cold air and gulf air fighting for dominance.

a great night to sit on a big ass only in new orleans front porch and take it all in after a twelve hour day at work with a cig and a cold beer.

as i'm sitting there on the porch i get these beautiful whiffs of coffee beans roasting from the folgers plant down the road in the east.

i suddenly go into a reverie about the good old days before 911 when you could go to the gov. nick. wharf  and steal some green cafe beans , take them home and roast them in the skillet and have the best coffee you ever had.
